I'm excited to share a special experience with you all. On Thanksgiving morning, I participated in the 2023 Dallas Turkey Trot—a fantastic event that brings our community together for a fun run while supporting a great cause. I joined thousands of participants in racing through the scenic streets of Dallas, all to raise money and awareness for the Dallas YMCA and its programs.
A Memorable First Marathon:
For me, this Turkey Trot marked my first marathon, and let me tell you, it was an incredible journey. I didn't set out with the goal of breaking records; instead, I wanted to have fun, stay loose, and complete the race in under 35 minutes. Well, I'm thrilled to share that I crossed the finish line in just 33 minutes and 55 seconds! The atmosphere was electric, and I had an absolute blast. It's amazing how running can bring people together and make a positive impact on our community.
Giving Back is Essential:
I firmly believe that no matter how successful we become in business, we should always take time and resources and donate them to good causes. The Dallas YMCA plays a vital role in our community by offering programs and services that empower individuals of all ages to lead healthier, happier lives. By participating in the Turkey Trot, I'm proud to contribute to their mission and support their initiatives.
Introducing the Mulberry Society Foundation:
In addition to my legal career and business endeavors, I've recently founded the Mulberry Society Foundation. Our nonprofit is dedicated to serving micro-business owners and entrepreneurs, providing them with valuable resources and guidance. We understand that building a successful business can be a path out of poverty, and we aim to combat generational poverty through our programs and initiatives.
